Make a bucket list of at least twenty things (in rank order) of what you’d like to see or do before you die

In 2007, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman starred in a movie called The Bucket List. They played two older men with terminal illnesses who happened to share a hospital room. While their lives were very different, they each had a bucket list of things they wanted to see or do before they died, so they went on an adventure together to complete their bucket lists.
STEP 1: Make a bucket list of at least twenty things (in rank order) of what you’d like to see or do before you die.
STEP 2: Considering your list, write a reflective essay explaining the most important things that you want to accomplish in your lifetime and why. Also analyze your bucket list in term of Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development. Explain how completing your list would help you to positively resolve the stage of ego integrity vs despair. Be sure to describe and explain this stage in Erikson’s theory and to include specific examples of how completing items in your list (or not completing them) would affect how you resolve this stage. Keep in mind that how previous stages are resolved may also affect this developmental stage. Include detailed discussion of specific examples from your list. Your essay should be 300-500 words; use APA format for citing any sources.

Bucket List
Human beings have different things they desire to have in their lives. Some of these things are the basic needs that will facilitate life. These basic needs are required from the time of birth; thus, the individual may not necessarily be responsible for ensuring their presence at that time. However, once a person reaches the age where he or she can live independently, desires arise that ought to be achieved in life. Therefore, people have their lists of things they may want to accomplish before they die. In this paper, I present my bucket list and a reflection of those things I need.

When I was an infant, I completely depended on my parents for care. At this stage, I was helpless and only trusted the care given by my parents. This is the first stage in development, where one has no desires. Moving to the toddler stage allowed me to start doing certain things and desire to have something such as attention. The same characteristics continued to the preschool stage, where I could do some things independently. At the preschool stage, I had not started thinking about what I wanted to be. However, at the fifth stage, I started enjoying realizing that there was something I may need. That is when I started setting goals to become like those I saw doing great in life. My parents encouraged me to study hard to become whom I wanted to be. However, at this adolescence stage, I began to focus on myself and tried to select those I could interact with.
In the sixth stage, I had the opportunity to set most of my goals realistically. By then; I was now in my early adult; thus, I could understand my responsibilities well. Furthermore, I knew what I needed to stay focused in my life. Therefore I decided to focus on education and plan my future from there. My plans, as highlighted in the bucket list, including what I will do in my 7th and 8th stages. For example, completing my college education and getting a job will help me increase my faith and motivation for achieving greatness in life.
That is because how the previous plans are completed determines the future. For instance, achieving my college education will create a stepping stone for accomplishing my dreams. Therefore, I will easily focus on my goals after I reach the final stage. Therefore, I will be a happy person if I fulfill all my plans. That is why I am working hard to ensure my dreams come true. I am certain that if I succeed in my academics I will have a brighter future that ensures my plans are achieved. However, I pray to God to ensure that I have good health and stay alive to see my plans get accomplished.
